Philmont is a working cattle and horse ranch. There's buffalo here too. Waite Phillips, a 20th century oilman, donated the land Philmont resides on now, providing the Boy Scouts of America continue ranching. Staff members called "wranglers" take care of the ranching year-round. Philmont uses two brands- the one on the left is for the cattle; the other is for the horses.
