Hunting Lodge

Hunting Lodge is just that- a hunting cabin in the middle of the wilderness. It was built in the 1920's and used by Waite Phillips, the wealthy oilman who donated his Philmont Ranch to the Boy Scouts of America. Phillips entertained dignitaries at his home and cabin, including Calvin Coolidge's vice president: Charles Dawes. The cabin is furnished with bear skins, antlers, and other various hunting souvenirs.
