I got up fifteen minutes before work today. I ran to the dining hall, grabbed some lucky charms for breakfast, and sprinted to work. I made it on time. I had fun cashing out customers, asking for ID for credit card holders, and calling the managers on the walkie-talkies. Just as we were having our end-of-shift meeting, the power went out. The staff swarmed the store and began the manual checkout processes with headlamps and flashlights. It was my first blackout. I can't wait for the next one- really. I love the adrenaline rush.
