June 11
Yesterday, June 11, I climbed Baldy Mountain with two friends from the trading post. We started to hike from Maxwell Turnaround at 8 a.m., arrived at the summit by 11:30 a.m., and made it back to the turnaround by 4 p.m. In all, we hiked a little under 12 miles. I was on Baldy with my crew in 2008 when we came out for our 10-day trek. I forgot how steep the climb was, especially the last 200 feet. When I got back to base camp, I unpacked, cleaned up, and went to dinner. After dinner, I went to the laundromat to wash my clothes but the power went out in all of base camp. It came back on after about 3 hours. It was a long day. I went to bed.
