Yesterday, May 30, I continued training and maintance in my zone of the trading post. I went to Mass in the morning, reviewed first aid, but the big event, was the "official" opening of the 2010 staff season. A magician named Giovanni kicked things off with an inspirational show, stressing the importance of our influence on the youth we will encounter this summer. His main point was that anything is possible- not everything- anything. Later, I went to the closing campfire, which had no fire. Instead it had hours of speakers, including the #3 Scouter in the nation. The night ended with a square dance, with live music performed by staffers. I danced. It was bad. I need lessons.
